A Peek At What Well Be Doing

Here is what we will be doing for our first class of the day (Cutting Tips & Techniques):

Dogwood-doublewb

We will work with one of my favorite signs of spring (Dogwoods) So, bring along some of your not-yet-scrapped spring photos if you can (to fill in the blank mat spots).

First we will practice the two main cutting techniques (Basic Mosaic cuts and how to use the Mosaic Moments Mat and our Count and Cut System to fit photos & mats on the grid.

Then we will learn some advanced cutting techniques: Frame Cuts (see frame cut dogwood image above.)

The second class in the morning we will learn panoramic cutting techniques (page shown below.)

After lunch we will head off to the beach – at least in our day dreams. (See Sand & Shells pages.)

In the afternoon we will be talking about photography and page design & layout tips – so bring your camera and your creative desire. We will also show off the NEW Mosaic Moments Die System and give you an opportunity to take it for a “test drive.”

Supplies you should bring:

Plan on bringing all the regular Mosaic Moments System tools (craft knife with a sharp blade, ruler, Herma repositional adhesive, etc).

 Supplies we will provide:

1. Mosaic Moments Mat.  If you have a Mosaic Moments Mat – please bring yours to use at the Camp. We will gladly exchange the new mat provided to you for a credit good toward other Mosaic Moments™ supplies.
2. Mosaic Moments Grid Paper, various supplies, and even some of the photos, for all of the classes.
3. A lovely tote to hold your supplies & goodies.

If you are going to stay in Williamsburg for an extra day to two…

Great Places to take pictures in Williamsburg:

The Colonial Parkway (see map below) a lovely scenic drive between Yorktown, Williamsburg, and Jamestown

Colonial Williamsburg – If you have time to spend, CW is a lovely place to get a historical tour. (You need a paid ticket go inside the buildings.) However, when time is limited, you can walk around the historic areas and take all the photos you desire free of charge.

Jamestown Island

Another great drive, with a wonderful view of the James River is on Jamestown Island. (Jamestown was a settlement in the Colony of Virginia, the first permanent English settlement in the Americas.)

See the Busch Gardens Website here.

While my family rides bumper cars and roller coasters, I take pictures of all the beautiful flowers and great fall scenery at the park. FYI – Busch Gardens is OPEN ONLY ON WEEKENDS (Friday – Sunday) during the month of October.
