Wild Strawberry Circles

A memory of Tami’s mother, a field of wild strawberries, and the small color change that made these patterns pop.

Wild strawberry blossom patterns in green, pink, and blue colorways

Many flowering plants remind me of my mother. She seemed to know the name of every one. I remember the first time she pointed out a wild strawberry to me in the middle of a field. I think she would really like these wild strawberry circles.

These wild strawberry sketches woke me early one morning. They wanted to create a circle design.

It always amazes me what a little tweak in color can do. I thought these were looking a bit washed out, so I added some contrast—and it really made them pop.

What do you think about the repeating pattern: color dots, or no color dots?
