Rabbits, Coneflowers, and Spring
A love of rabbits and flowers grows from pencil sketches into a collection of repeating patterns.
I have always loved rabbits. I also love coneflowers. Sketching one day, it occurred to me that the petals of a coneflower have a resemblance to rabbit ears.
It Must Be Spring started with a few rabbit sketches. I just had to. I think maybe I’ll always have a thing for the cute furry critters.
The rabbit and flower sketches became vectors, then repeating patterns in Adobe Illustrator. The process began with pencil and paper and moved to a vector translation of the sketches.
It has been so fun. What do you think? Does it remind you of spring?
